Polyp / Aluminum explores how a repeated assembly system behaves when translated into anodized aluminum. Precision-cut components are connected through a common parametric framework, allowing each lamp to develop a unique form while sharing the same underlying logic of construction.

As the overlapping elements shift across the surface, the assembly simultaneously generates structure, enclosure, ornament, and the projection of light. Rather than concealing how the object is made, fabrication becomes the defining visual language of the piece.

Polyp is an ongoing investigation into how repeated components can generate structure, enclosure, ornament, and light. Across paper, aluminum, and wood, each iteration explores how changes in material influence the behavior of a common assembly system.
