Aluminum Polyp Lamp

Polyp Lamps are large table lamps made from perforated anodized aluminum, inspired by organic fruit forms like apples and pears. Their glowing silhouettes cast dynamic shadows, blending botanical curves with digital fabrication. Each lamp features a unique form generated from a parametric system, paired with a standard socket base—merging artful lighting with futuristic design.

Aluminum Polyp Lamps

This edition of the Polyp Lamps presents a series of sculptural aluminum table lamps that explore organic growth and structural irregularity through light. Inspired by fruiting forms—apples, pears, lemons—they nod to Noguchi’s glowing Akari lamps and the layered geometry of Louis Poulsen’s Artichoke Pendant, while introducing a distinctly architectural metallic silhouette.

Precision-cut perforations in each aluminum panel cast dynamic patterns of light and shadow, creating a vivid transformation when illuminated. A vibrant anodized finish amplifies their otherworldly presence, adding iridescent depth and accentuating surface details. Designed with a custom parametric system, each lamp is unique in form while sharing a universal socket base for modular flexibility and individualized expression.

Merging botanical references with digital design language, the Polyp Lamps blur boundaries between nature, technology, and sculptural lighting.
